Yes, I don't know any Council that would actually approve this rigging in a
building permission.  However our architect intended for us to be able to
convert with some cheap, simple and readily availailable hardware.  My
mother has bailed water into the garden her whole life, recently adapting
the laundry and bathroom's external plumbing.  She's a stickler for doing
the 'right thing' but using greywater is just common sense to her in a city
on the edge of one of the world's largest deserts.  I doubt there'd get more
than a slapped wrist if it was reported or discovered.  Basically it's
un-noticeable if it's used responsibly.
