Fellow cohousers:

We need cohousing more than ever
--I am sure that like me you were stunned at the news of the attacks
in New York and Washington on innocent people.
I grasped for what meaning I could find in this senseless violence

We need cohousing more than ever
--Not a gated community futilely trying to hide from the world's
dangers
But an engaged one seeking to provide safety and openness at the same
time

We need cohousing more than ever
--Not a community that teaches its young to be suspicious and to be
ever prepared to fight
But one that by example inculcates in its young that conflict is
resolvable and that violence is unacceptable

We need cohousing more than ever
--We must push forward and create our community and help others to
form their own communities; it is something WE can do that will make
a difference!
