My wife and I hope that cohousing I hope you don't think /I/ was saying I resent the needs of children. Hardly. What I resent are some of their parents' feelings of entitlement to some resources, which is what we were discussing. I love the kids and teens in my neigbourhood and in my extended web of family and friends and am happy to spend time with them and money and attention on them. One of the reasons I'm drawn to cohousing is that I'd love to have an "aunt" relationship with more kids and teens, on a regular basis, at close range, as well as "sibling" relationships with the adults. I don't know if this is a realistic goal or not. > I hope that some of us who care will explore in increasing ways that we can > make community living in cohousing supportive of children as well as our > older residents and those who have needs. I think cohousing communities, and all communities, should be more supportive of /all/ people, including kids and older adults, and including non-parents and parents, gays, lesbians, singles, marrieds, etc. ~ Molly Wms. _______________________________________________ Cohousing-L mailing list Cohousing-L [at] cohousing.org Unsubscribe and other info: http://www.communityforum.net/mailman/listinfo/cohousing-l
