I thought we all talk about our thoughts and feelings here (what else is
there?); if we disagree, we ought to be willing to share our views!  So far
no one has engaged in name-calling, nor has anyone intentionally
misrepresented anyone else's views, have they?  So there's no attack, just
dispute.  And I enjoy a good one!

And BTW, this issue [childcare-to pay or not to pay] is more weighty than cats, don't you agree?

Actually, in the cohousing setting, I think cats are the weightier issue, because they are a more difficult problem to solve than child care payments.  I know of at least two situations where residents left cohousing because they could not accept the group's cat policy (one demanded outdoor cats, the other hated them).  On the other hand, the application of a small amount of money, just a miniscule proportion of an entire coho budget, will make the childcare problem go away (well, assuming you can find the right  recipient of the $ to do the child care :)  ).
