I read an email in which George shares a passion for giving kids a voice. He
is taking a risk and evidently sharing an opinion about the response he gets
in meetings. From my point of view, I read the email reads as a
substantiated critique to the response to his advocacy.

Then, his email somehow gets tied into experiences of parenting a child with
autism and perceptions of political directions, all under the banner of
calling a spade a spade. I find this a thought-provoking example of a
different agenda appearing from elsewhere.

I love the energy in the discussion, although I think that George's point
about advocacy warrants a response at least. If the topic becomes one of
boasting & envy, or autism, nature & nurture, or whatever, then let's go
there.
