Kill the messenger/cool the rhetoric

First of all, let me say that I was in no doubt about posting my response to
George's attacks on Songaia. Let others fear the bullies of this world; I
will not back down.

Second, let me state the facts about George, although now that I'm being
censored, only Fred knows if this will get posted or not:

George does not live in cohousing, and has taken his personal vendetta
against Songaia and his bitter divorce to a *public* list for people who
are, ostensibly, interested in living in cohousing, which I think is
inappropriate. I voiced my opinion, everyone else is free to post theirs.

Find out more of what George says about "cultlike" cohousing by doing a
search on Googol.com. This is readily available public information, and good
background material for understanding his point of view. For that matter,
you can find what anyone on this list has said.

Third, I never called anyone names. Criticize my bluntness or whatever you
want to call it, but don't put words in my mouth.

Finally, I hope that slander will never be tolerated on this list. I will
not let unsubstantiated claims against a group or person go unchallenged, no
matter what. Sorry to cause you problems, Fred. I have a lot of respect for
you, and we're all indebted to you for running this list. But principles are
principles.

Liz
