Along with this is the reminder that "You can build a cohousing community or
you can save the earth or you can build the perfect house or you can ....
You can't do all of them at once."

In other words, don't take on more than you can handle.

Once construction starts, you are on a time clock with each hour costing you
mucho bucks. Its best to defer to expert advice, unless you have two million
dollars or so to pay the sub-contractors sitting around waiting for the
group to both inform themselves to the expert level and then reach
consensus. 

Just think how long it takes for the experts to reach consensus!
