Wolf - I like the idea of a site that is introductory and exploratory - geared specifically for the newcomer to cohousing. Who would respond to our naive and perhaps tedious quest?

I can see how you'd say that this list is relatively polite.

Relative to most online chat rooms and bulletin boards it is certainly
polite. Relative to many TV shows, it is very polite. Relative to driving
in traffic, this list is most polite.

Relative to my actual face to face experience of living in community, it is
not nearly as welcoming and affirming.

If this list is to be someone's introduction to cohousing, I would like the
newcomer to be welcomed and given as much kind consideration as possible.
Unfortuanately, this does not always happen, possibly in part because others
on this list may assume too much prior knowledge.

It may be that there is a need for two lists or an introductory explanation.
