Man's Ultimate Commitment was published first in 1957 (?), hence the title. A reprint edition costs $51 probably because it is only used as a text. He died in 1975. His work was the theoretical basis for process theology in which God is viewed as discovered, thus giving meaning to religion in the age of science. Weiman was a Unitarian-Universilist and some of his writings are posted at this address. They discuss the same ideas. One is his intellectual biography and the other is a piece by Martin Luther King comparing his ideas with Paul Tillich's. http://home.earthlink.net/~ejcarnations/uuhistory/People/wieman.htm Sharon -- Sharon Villines Takoma Village Cohousing, Washington DC http://www.takomavillage.org _______________________________________________ Cohousing-L mailing list Cohousing-L [at] cohousing.org Unsubscribe and other info: http://www.communityforum.net/mailman/listinfo/cohousing-l
