I'm not in a co-housing setting right now, but the Quaker group I meet with has always had a lot of success with skits & short plays. Either the kids can work one up for the adults (once they get over "stage fright" they LOVE all the attention!) or you can go intergenerational. Maybe best to let the kids do one first and go from there?
