Three-story, with the partially-daylight basement. Energy efficiency, I'd note, involves the total construction. Our common house, though built of EnerGrid/RastraBlock - another of those thick-wall systems-- has many large glass windows and glassed doors, which are not insulative. Of course the roof insulation is vital, too, since heat rises. Those interested in dome-type constructions might also search out info on Deltec homes. I think they are concrete domes, in various modules.
