Hi, Sharon, et al. I'll repeat what I sent to him off-list, which is that we have one space per car, and it's plenty. But our street parking is safe as cities go. We have several bike sheds scattered throughout the community, all full. They aren't in a parking lot, but attached to house clusters. Many groups fail to plan for bikes and housing for outdoor equipment. Our sheds do this job. There's no room to spare, but this enforces discipline on us to get rid of unused stuff. It works. We also have spaces for all the things Sharon mentioned, garbage, recycling, etc. So we use our parking just for parking and basketball. -- Liz Stevenson Southside Park Cohousing Sacramento, California tamgoddess [at] attbi.com > From: Sharon Villines <sharon [at] sharonvillines.com> > Reply-To: cohousing-l [at] cohousing.org > Date: Mon, 30 Sep 2002 17:20:14 -0400 > To: Cohousing-L <cohousing-l [at] cohousing.org> > Subject: Re: [C-L]_Cars per unit > > on 9/30/2002 10:01 AM, Gary Kent at garykent [at] uniserve.com wrote: > >> As we will are planning on 30 units this seems ridiculous for us to dedicate >> so much land to 60 parking stalls.
