Our experience with a dishwasher at Two Acre Wood in Sebastopol:  We got a
commercial style dishwasher; Bosch is the brand.  It has a very long cycle
(can't remember how many tens of minutes) because we thought that the long
cycle with very hot water would be good for keeping a high degree of clean
going in our kitchen.  It dries dishes, too - we had been warned by someone
who (like us) had very little counter space that a commercial washer that
didn't dry was really difficult if there was nowhere to put the racks when
you needed to pull them dripping wet out of the washer and dry and put away
the dishes.

So, the tradeoff:  the cycle is so long that, if you load up after a meal,
it's not done in time to reload that night.  Ergo, tons of washing by hand.

So the other thing we wish we had, with all the washing of pots and big
bowls, is a deep and divided sink with a commercial sprayer, and lots of
room to wash those big pots and pans.  It would especially be great for me,
a clean maven, if we had three sinks and could wash, clean and sanitize.
The thing for me is, that cooking is lots of work and anything you can do to
make cleaning up easier - it makes meals more pleasurable - and that's a
good thing.

Meanwhile, we're ready to buy a dishwasher....  recomendations?

The Hobart has been highly recomended.....  anyone with Hobart dishwasher
experience??  It costs $3,000-$4,000.... was it a good investment?
