I'd like to thank each of you who have sent input on DISHWASHERS! I've been collecting what you've expressed, and shared each morsel with our neighbors, here at Cantines Island. Thanks you everyone! Thank you Liz & Joyce for pointing put hazards of under-the -counter. I'd wondered aloud about this question. Your input will help. We're trying to schedule a Community day focusing on aging/disabilities as they will affect living here. Am hoping that the dishwasher question will become part of that discussion/experiential day. Rob, your 'do the dishes' game may be part of that.... Again, many thanks. It was great to have this kind of question, and then be able to come here for advice. Anyone else want to weigh in on dishwashers?? Original question was posed because the used commercial one we bought on move-in is in need of repair, and while our neighbor could do the work, the parts will be very pricey. And that dishwasher never cleaned well when it was operational. Two neighbors have seen a Hobart in action, & recommend it. It costs $3,000-$4,000, So to you came the question: what do you recommend dishwasher-wise for community which is about to grow to 18 households? Many thanks, Ruth Cantines Island CoHousing Saugerties, NY _______________________________________________ Cohousing-L mailing list Cohousing-L [at] cohousing.org Unsubscribe and other info: http://www.communityforum.net/mailman/listinfo/cohousing-l
