RoseWind, Port Townsend WA Guns- I put something into the original CC&Rs and we never have discussed it: no firearms on any common areas, except necessary transport between vehicle and home. But we can all park by our house, so even the last bit is unnecessary. If anyone here has a gun in their home, I'm unaware of it. Hasn't come up as a discussion topic. We're about to revisit our 8 yr old CC&Rs, and maybe that will be discussed then. Cigarettes- no smoking in common house, no articulated rules about outdoors. As far as I know, in our 24 families there is only one cigarette smoker, and he doesn't even smoke in his own house, but on his porch. So it hasn't been an issue. I assume that guests at events might smoke outdoors if they wanted to.
