Becky asked about closed committee meetings. The process committee sometimes has closed meetings when discussing disputes between households. The whole group meetings sometimes don't allow visitors if we are discussing stuff like membership decisions. Otherwise, meetings are open. -Jim Snyder-Grant, New View cohousing, Acton MA. Where we just finished our second reserve report (a 5-year follow-up) and many things changed. Suggested annual reserve contribution is down by 60%! Raises a lot of follow-up questions for committees to pursue... Recent meetings in the common house in the last few days include: a newly-forming town-wide peace action committee; a workshop on dealing with invasive plants for public land managers; and our weekly Yoga class.
