At Eno Commons, we have a wooden saw horse where the street and pedway meet with signs like "No Motor Vehicles" and "No Parking". It has had a reasonable level of success but it is not perfect. If the saw horse are moved to accommodate a service van and not put back, then this opens the possibility of some unwitting person in a car using the pedway as a drive. A number of off-site neighbors do walk onto our property as part of their walking regiment which we do not mind. Of course, the kid with the mini-bike racing through the neighborhood found out very quickly that not only our pedway is private but also our street. I would like a more elegant than a saw horse but this is not a priority.
