I don't know about the air purifier machines but I do know about the filters
which most of us in Cambridge Cohousing (Cambridge, MA) are using in our
units as part of our air circulation system. They are 3M Air Cleaning
Filters called Filtrete Ultra Allergen Reduction Filters and can be ordered
on line www.3M.com/filtrete in many different sizes and also found in places
like Home Depot (which has a smaller selection of sizes).

After much study, we determined that these filters were most effective at
filtering large allergens like pet dander and mold spores, while not
significantly reducing the air flow.
