The retreat has a large two story log home naturally and lovingly crafted
from the tallest trees on the land.  There is a beautiful kitchen with
cabinets made from knotty pine and a huge dining room that seats up to 30
people or becomes a large dance floor.  There are bathrooms on both levels.
It is heated by two furnaces and a beautiful fireplace.  The logs keep the
building warm in the winter and cool in the summer.  An extremely high
ceiling always gives you the feeling of spaciousness even when there is a
large group of people there.  The retreat is 23.69 acres set in the midst of
an old growth forest and surrounded by the waters of the Red Deer River and
approximately 300 acres of crown land.  It is magically private and ever so
romantic. The retreat is located 33 km. West of Innisfail, about 90 minutes
from Calgary, 45 minutes from Red Deer and 2 1/2 hours from Edmonton.

There is a separate log building that we call Ascension Hall heated by an
antique wood stove and a propane furnace.  This is where the workshops are
held and seats 30 people comfortably.

The retreat is Solar Powered and has a generator for alternate power.  The
well has the best water we've ever tasted which also makes coffee that has
our guests raving.

There are 4 log cabins which have 4 handmade log beds in each, complete with
16 comfortable mattresses and bedding.  There are also a number of
outbuildings and storage sheds and everything needed to operate the retreat
year round.
