It's nice to see communities growing and developing organically -- with
strength. I was looking at our architecture yesterday and thinking what
hulking monsters our fire stairs were and how the two sides are becoming
totally non-symmetrical and people have all sorts of stuff hanging from
their porches. At first I was in despair of what it will look like soon, and
then I realized, yes, it will look like those English streets that are
hundreds of years old with pieces and bits of rooms added on and walkways so
narrow you have to turn sideways to get through them! It will be nice.
