re: buying into cohousing without a realtor

I just read in a book called "How to buy a House in California" by Nolo Press 
that you can hire a realtor by the hour.  It may take a few phone calls to find 
one that will do it but I'm sure you can find some one that may be willing to 
make a few hundred or even a thousand dollars to make sure everything looks 
good.  Cheaper than a lawyer and given the prices at any Bay Area Cohousing, 
much, much cheaper than 6% commission.
