At Dearborn Commons in Seattle we are partnering with a local non-profit
land trust group to get about 25% of our units into the permanently
affordable housing stock. We are also looking into forming as a co-op
instead of a condo, with hope of reducing construction costs.

What is the median buy-in to an Intentional Community? From what I have seen to date, typical prices seem to be $200k to $300k. This burdens an individual with a lifetime mortgage (pay the bank threetimes what you borrow over the life of the loan), as well as limit inclusionof low- and/or no-income. Is anyone running an Intentional Community as a non-profit Co-operative? Guy Koehler Rivendell Ranch Hoquiam WA 98550
