We do keep up with inflation. Every year we come to consensus on the % increase on the original share value and we do that based on cost of living/inflation/and seat of our pants reasoning...it is almost always 5% or thereabouts. So we aren't losing money on our original investment although we might have made more if we had put the money in another place.

We have studios, 1,2, and 3 bedroom apartments and the share value varies depending on the square footage of the apartment.
