Hmmmm. I have observed that teens who are moved into our community as teenagers have a much different connection than those who move into our community as kids and then grow into teenagers. This week a meeting was dominated by teenagers with things to say, and the desire to say them and do things. All of these kids have grown up here, and they seem to take a fair amount of pride in how cool it is to their friends. I actually heard my oldest, now 15, talking about HER community. It took me a few minutes to figure out she was talking about Sharingwood. Of course when I mentioned it, I got chastised for listening to her phone conversation, but she agreed that her friends like coming here, it's a cool place to them.
