Cohousing-L Mailing List: Requesting donations for tours

Hi,

I appreciate the four responses I got to my question about how communities 
handle tours, especially whether they request donations. I can tell this list 
is a living example of our like-mindedness!  What a great resource you are for 
cohousers! One more question:  How many co housing communities have formed 
non-profit organizations to conduct formal programs of research, education and 
outreach?  Is there any information out there about this?  We are in the early 
stages of discussing the formation of a nonprofit organization. Any ideas or 
recommendations?
