Evan Evans <eevansx [at] hotmail.com> is the author of the message below. It was posted by Fred the Cohousing-L list manager <fholson [at] cohousing.org> because the message included only HTML. -------------------- FORWARDED MESSAGE FOLLOWS -------------------- Can I suggest a tiered system whereby members have a level where they might have open discussion, an intermwdiate level where prospective groups might observe but can only input comments through a fixed email address (moderated) and a top level that is final decisions/other concerns that might be published out to prospective members. I, for one, am in the very early stages of developing housing for disabled people based on the cohousing model and am very interested in the day-to-day, blow-by-blow interaction that goes into forming such a community but have no real interest in involving myself in the decision-making process. This level of interaction might not be completely acceptable to prospective members until they express a commitment to become part of the community and have seen the published results of the decision-making going on at the committed member level.
