Can I suggest a tiered system whereby members have a level where they
might have open discussion, an intermwdiate level where prospective groups
might observe but can only input comments through a fixed email address
(moderated) and a top level that is final decisions/other concerns that
might be published out to prospective members. 
   
I, for one, am in the very early stages of developing housing for disabled
people based on the cohousing model and am very interested in the
day-to-day, blow-by-blow interaction that goes into forming such a
community but have no real interest in involving myself in the
decision-making process. This level of interaction might not be completely
acceptable to prospective members until they express a commitment to
become part of the community and have seen the published results of the
decision-making going on at the committed member level.
