Nice article on cohousing choice for AARP-age folks. Includes this cool 
market research factoid:

"Twenty-two percent of the 500 respondents 50 to 65 to a poll conducted 
by MetLife Mature Market Institute and AARP last spring said they would 
be interested in "building a new home to share with friends that 
included private space and communal living areas."

Does use the over-worked word 'commune' in the headline, but you can't 
have everything.
