Hello cohousing list.

I am writing to you from Champaign / Urbana, Illinois.  At 
this point, I am attempting to gather a group of residents / 
consultants in the local area to start talking about the 
possibility of developing a cohousing community here.

I am writing to ask for any suggestions from those of you who 
have been through this process.  More specifically, is there 
anything that you wish you would have done differently at the 
very early stages regarding marketing / recruitment 
strategies, getting town officials involved, developing a 
core group, etc.?

I have already ordered the cohousing video to introduce the 
concept to new people and developed a list of local residents 
and professionals who have expressed an interest in 
cohousing. 

Any advice that people could give would be greatly 
appreciated.  Also, if there is anyone on the list that 
resides in the Champaign / Urbana area and would be 
interested in joining our discussion, please contact me.
