We have many businesses that want to open including yoga studio, art classes, home-schoolers, landscape architects, violinists, etc. The hot button item tends to be the therapy offices Surprise! We have a lot of therapists in this community and a few of them would like the option to provide therapy in their home. The opposing households feel this is a distinct threat to the children of the community.
I doubt if any of the people coming onto the property to do business would be any more or less bothersome than some of the guests you will have.
But you may want to make a distinction between home based businesses that have many clients or customers each day and those that might have none or very few. Having lots of strangers coming and going does change the nature of the community.
It also depends on the layout you have. How far apart are the houses? Where would clients park?
We have two townhouses on the end of our condo style project where people would come and go without even entering the community green or piazza. You may want to make restrictions based on the property layout.
