Looking for a little green help from our friends in the greening of our community

Thanks for the feedback on our earlier note. This piece of land costs
$223,000. We have a bank that is likely to loan us a chunk of that, so
we're looking for another $63,000. We're willing to do a 6-month note at
10% pa.

And here's an idea from the all-wise Ann Zabaldo - who do you know who might
be interested in jumping in on this opportunity who might not be on this
list? Please feel free to send it along to them.

Thanks,
Tom & Carol Braford

Everyone in our Metro Cohousing group in St. Louis loves the fact that we're
building in a vibrant, urban neighborhood with all the amenities of big city
life close at hand. We are thrilled with the site plan developed in
collaboration with the CoHousing Co. and have found a way to move all
parking to the basements of our 100 year old commercial buildings. We've
also decided to have flat, accessible green roofs on our new construction,
but what we really wanted from the start is more ground level green space
and some trees.

So recently when the opportunity came up to buy a half-acre complete with
trees right next to our site, we jumped at the chance and plunked down a
non-refundable deposit. The challenge is that we only have until next
Wednesday, April 20th, to close. We really don't want to lose that deposit
or the chance to get this land. If we don't get it now, the seller has
assured us that within a few weeks the trees will be history, replaced by
four townhomes, fenced yards and detached garages. The land is too
expensive not to build on, but in typical cohousing fashion, we would build
in a way that would preserve all 16 trees.

We have good prospects for long-term financing and the land will only
appreciate, but we need a short-term loan to tide us over. I think you'd
find our terms to be generous.

If you can help, call Tom Braford ASAP. 314-479-6750.

Thanks!
