I've seen the discussion on planning number of parking spaces per unit, but what's the average number of bicycles per unit in your various co-housing projects? It would be good to realistically plan this. I was thinking 2 per unit, but this might be too low. The themes I've seen so far: 1) Hooks, good for space, bad for folks who can't lift a bike. 2) Need to deal with accessories (seats, trailers, big things that don't fit small slots) 3) Much underestimation of amount of storage needed. Is there anyone out there that has enough bike storage? If so, please describe your storage as well as number of spaces in relation to number of housing units. Really good feedback so far... this is helping greatly.
