Would anyone be willing to share their average monthly or annual cost
for living in cohousing. Some members in our group will be taking
out a mortgage that is bigger than they ever have before. I think
the natural tendency is to think about what your current monthly
costs are for living and double or triple it. I think if we can talk
to people in terms of what they can expect to pay monthly it might
give some perspective on the big number.
Either give your own experience -or- make some estimates based on this info: Our average unit cost is coming in around $190,000. What can we expect to pay in a monthly mortgage payment (assume current rates), condo assoc. dues (assume 3+ million development with 20 units and Common House on 1+ acre), heating/cooling/water (assume energy efficient) and other misc. living expenses? What other numbers should we be looking at? I know this is very general, but I would like to start taking a stab at breaking down the numbers.
