The 2005 social budget of Eno Common was just under 7% (if one excluded
reserves and capital funding), or $825. However, to accommodate increased
child care and Common House expenses and not increase dues, we are zero basing
most social events in 2006.

This does not mean there will be no social events. We are shifting how we
underwrite them. Food events will be pot luck or on the cooking team schedule.
Events that involve craft or decorations, we will sell tickets to. Alcohol
will be available at a cash bar. As we started this shift this year with
welcoming/farewell dinners, we have had just as fun.

It might be helpful if we can post our budgets on cohousing so others can
compare their budgets against others.
