Now we are coming up to our March meeting and there is disagreement over whether this is a 'procedural issue' with a proposal to return to the original January decision OR a time to re-visit the topic of the original proposal and re-hash it since there is dissatisfaction with it OR a 'too bad' the Feb. crew approved the Jan. minutes, period. OR......???

A sociocratic response -- what is the aim of the proposal? I suspect it includes a desire for all community members to be comfortable with the decision, and since this one affects children and parents, it is an important decision.

In sociocracy, you always revisit a decision when new information is available because you want to make the best decision possible -- "best" defined as the most workable decision, one that allows the group to move forward. "Good enough" is the standard with a movement toward always improving by acting and then listening to feedback. In a new community particularly, you will need to try this and try that and see what works for your collection of people -- and kids.

Here there was confusion over what was actually agreed -- and new information since new people have attended the meeting.

Sociocratically, the issue of "adult" or "12 years of age" would be up for discussion again.
