Robert <robert [at] enocommons.org> is the author of the message below. It was posted by Fred the Cohousing-L list manager <fholson [at] cohousing.org> -------------------- FORWARDED MESSAGE FOLLOWS -------------------- >>> feel that CoHousing competitively priced units, while within their >>> fiscal reach, may be replete with homophobes This is one of the many reasons why I like the http://ic.org 's directory, Eno Commons' entry is http://directory.ic.org/records/?action=view&record_id=2663, which a visitor can learn about a community's demographics and other factors. For example, one field is "Open to Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and/or Transgender members:" Eno Common's entry has "Yes (check this article about one of our families: http://www.indyweek.com/durham/2004-06-09/cover.html). If a community is welcoming, those who are less tolerant can self select themselves out ... and gays can find a home. -Robert Eno Commons Cohousing Durham, NC
