Hello all -- Last week I responded to an email posted by Eris Weaver regarding a woman asking about parking space for her RV in Eris's future cohousing community. I deeply regret posting my reply first to the whole list. The appropriate action would have been to respond first to Eris off line. I might have learned something useful instead of jumping on my righteous bandwagon. Please note: I'm not saying we shouldn't have disagreements or differences of opinions. What I am saying is that we should be considerate of other people's feelings and values and not "call them out" in a public forum like email with out first trying to reach them privately. I really dislike reading email where people are insensitive. And then in a heartbeat I was myself insensitive. Being considerate of other people's feelings or values was what I was trying to say in my reply about the woman and her RV question and then I turn around and I was not at all considerate of Eris's feelings. I've called Eris and apologized directly to her. She was extremely gracious and forgiving. And now I apologize to you on this list for my poor 'netiquette behavior and to those of you I have hurt whether directly or indirectly by my former email. Ann Zabaldo Takoma Village Washington, DC
