Joani,Yes!! I guess this would even surpass my hope in trying this thread to see what results.
Have a CoHO Food site on line is a perfect idea. And yes to more than one recipe per community. Luk sent a link to a site with perhaps a dozen mostly international meals [thanked off-list, thanks again, Luk.]
thanks for getting this going! It could have even more than one recipe per community, and also should include a list of cooking-for-a-crowd cookbooks of which there are many. There are literally zillions of recipes on the web, that we can link to, but I think that we should only "admit" recipes that have been tried at least once in a cohousing community--or forming/developing group that's had some shared meals. Editing such a cookbook is not a small task, and we would welcome a volunteer to come forward to tackle it. In the meantime, I'm going to ask the powers that be if we can set up a cohousing.org email address to which recipes might be sent (What do you say, powers that be? I know a couple of you read this listserve.) Then when an angel cookbook editor appears, we can forward the recipes to him or her. It'd be really cool if there would be a way for folks to add reviews, variations, comments to each recipe (sort of like book reviews on Amazon), don'tcha think? And then perhaps each e-magazine could feature a link to a Common Meal Recipe Of the Month Joani Blank Swan's Market Cohousing Oakland, CA
