Hi listfriends:

The National Building Museum in Washington DC has an exhibit on Green
Housing that shows a fiberoptic lighting system. It requires transformers
and is probably expensive to install, although it promises operating costs
similar to CFLs. The web site is
http://www.nbm.org/Exhibits/greenHouse2/greenHouse.htm

Quite a nice exhibit, that gives one a chance to handle countertop, floor
tile, wall and ceiling coverings and cabinet material.
