Articles about Forty Oaks and Two Acre Wood and several other ecovillages, cohousing and intentional communities appeared in the December 2006 issue (#56) of The Last Straw, the 40-page international quarterly journal of strawbale and natural building. This might be a good source of information about how other communities have incorporated sustainable design and construction, renewable energy and other features into their communities. TLS Issue #31 published in 2001 also shares information about natural building in communities. Visit the TLS web site www.thelaststraw.org for details about ordering back issues, our CD of issues 1-40 and subscribing to the journal. There is also a resource guide available (on the web site or in printed format) with an extensive bibliography, Joyce ------- Joyce Coppinger, Managing Editor The Last Straw journal GPFS/TLS, PO Box 22706, Lincoln NE 68542-2706 USA 402.483.5135, fax 402.483.5161 <thelaststraw [at] thelaststraw.org> www.thelaststraw.org
