The vegetable gardens are producing abundance, the sunflowers and dahlias
are colorful, and as usual the weather is cool enough to wear a fleece
jacket in the evenings here in Port Townsend, WA, a liberal enclave on the
NW corner of the Olympic Peninsula. The summer has offered us world-class
festivals of Fiddle Tunes, Blues, and Jazz, as well as home-grown street
fairs and farmers markets. Next week, the annual Wooden Boat Festival will
fill the waters with sailing ships and the streets with crafts, shows, and
other celebrations. You could live in this amazing place, because....
RoseWind Cohousing will soon have a house for sale! This attractive custom
home is 1528 sq feet, on one and a half floors, plus a finished half
basement. The price is $400,000.
For detail and photos, visit our web site http://www.rosewind.org.Here's a summary. The main floor has a generous sunporch/greenhouse entryway, kitchen, dining, living, master bedroom and bath. Upstairs another bath, and a spacious room that could be another bedroom, guest room, or home office. Built in 1995, the home has been well maintained. The basement has lots of storage space. The common house (community hall) is right next door, and the home's north windows and back deck and patio look out on the large central commons, with its grassy field, wild rose thickets, playground, and food gardens.
If interested, please respond, NOT TO THE WHOLE LIST, but to me directly:inquiry.welcome [at] olympus.net
Lynn Nadeau, for the RoseWind outreach teamPS personal note: This house was built and has been lived in by wonderful people, offering the bonus of really hospitable energy and good feelings in the house, if you register that sort of factor! The family is moving to a nearby house more suitable to their current needs.
