WOW! It has been an intense day trying to get up to speed in cohousing. Even after having done all that reading about cohousing, spending a day with people from many different cohousing groups was a great educational experience. Dinner at Cornerstone on Friday, full day of conference at Cambridge Cohousing, and tomorrow is the brunch at Jamaica Plain. Not only a well organized conference, but some great food. Thanks to *all* who have made this event possible. We are in a unique situation, considering moving from Sydney, Australia back to USA, and consequently open to lots of possible location options. We will continue to explore urban cohousing options in New England area, have a trip planned to attend the California cohousing bus tour (hoping to stay in Pleasant Hill, Berkeley Cohousing or one of the others) and even have a road trip planned to Washington, DC and North Carolina to visit even more cohousing places. On that note, we plan to visit Eastern Village, Takoma Village, Arcadia, Pacifica and Eno Commons in the next two weeks (20-30 Sep). We have not contacted these communities to arrange tours or anything yet (things moving really fast), but if you are living in one of these communities and willing to give a tour, have us over for a common meal or even have space in the common house for us to stay, please contact us. Thanks once again to all those people who organized the New England Gathering and wish we were going to be here for the national conference.
