We're one week away from this Community Seekers Fair... we will have 5
cohousing communities that are seeking new members, as well as a
couple of Ecovillages and some other forms of communities.

NICA (Northwest Intentional Community Association) is pleased to
feature Diana Leafe Christian at the Greenwood Senior Center.
Diana is author of "Finding Community: How to Join an
Ecovillage or Intentional Community" and "Creating a Life Together:
Practical Tools to Grow Ecovillages and Intentional Communities." She
was editor from 1994 to 2007 of Communities magazine. Diana is widely
known for her insightful presentations and workshops.

Designed for community seekers, Diana's presentation will offer an
overview of how to research thoroughly, visit enjoyably, evaluate
intelligently, and join gracefully an ecovillage or other kind of
intentional community. The event will include tables and
representatives from some Pacific Northwest communities that are open
to new members (in alphabetical order):

Bright Morning Star - established Seattle cooperative house
Cascadia Cohousing - forming  City of Seattle Coho w/goal of 10-15
low-$300K units
Daybreak Cohousing - forming urban Portland , Oregon, community; plans
to build in 2008
Emma Goldman's Finishing School - established Seattle social justice commune
EcoReality - forming Ecovillage in South Gulf Islands of British Columbia
Goodenough Community – established Seattle multi-residential community
w/70 acre retreat center
New Earth Song Cohousing - forming Coho next to Songaia Cohousing in Bothell
Port Townsend Ecovillage - forming Ecovillage next to Rosewind Cohousing
Seattle City Cohousing - forming urban Seattle Coho, meets at Jackson Place Coho
WiseAcres Cooperative - established 9 home Coho in Indianola with home
for sale now!
Woodard Lane Cohousing - Olympia's first Coho forming! Owns 2.9 acres
for 19 homes.
