A few colleagues and I are just launching a new on line community  
targeted at parents about kids' play in neighborhoods called  
Playborhood.  We're alarmed that kids hardly play outside on their  
own anymore, and we aim to create a robust, active online community  
regarding this problem.  Soon, we'll also offer some real solutions.

We'll be talking a lot about co-housing soon.  I am about to publish  
a three-part series on N Street, a retrofit co-housing community in  
Davis, CA.  We'll also  be talking a lot about the book "Superbia" by  
Dan Chiras and Dave Wann in the near future.  As a matter of fact,  
the current top post talks about it.
