I'm sending this to you privately, since I'm not sure that it's of general interest to the list, but I hope you will find it useful: I would recommend you read The Soul of Capitalism, by William Greider, for ways in which capitalism can be reframed as a positive force. Capitalism can in fact be responsible for the good of people everywhere--it's just not aligned well with those goals at the moment.
