Hello to Coho List members I have not posted before, but would like to share on this important affordable housing issue. Here in Portland, there are other apartment complexes being converted to condos, but they are not cohousing to my knowledge. It is the best legally recognized coho format that is used by 2 successful cohos: trilliam and cascadia commons I understand. I have heard of columbianecovillage.com starting up with permaculture gardens being a feature. I would like to find 8 other single or families for purchasing this apartment complex which we manage. We would like to share a solar greenhouse and other features. Prefer to keep the option of buying and sellling for a total of 9 each 2 bedroom units, as each person gets their own mortgage. Currently the economy is changing and wages are so low here, that there is a need to be flexible and create smaller living spaces. We want to become a green sustainable condo cohousing community. See details at our website. My husband and I welcome discussion. I have approval for a conversion from the local city. Best wishes for a greener new year, roz OR Ecobuilding Network, 501 (c) (3) nonprofit corporation: Mission: Convert Apartment Complex to Cohousing Hamilton Healthcare; create a clean oasis with air purifiers!
