It is probably good advice to plan on higher-than-normal probabilities of floods, particularly if you live in a "wet" region. Even beyond the comfort of having a greater margin for error, most all global warming models indicate wet regions are expected to get wetter and dry regions are expected to get drier. The implication is increased flooding in regions where they get a lot of water and increased droughts where they don't get much. John Faust
