I also wondered what "too many" means, but to be fair - I think that if a community strives for diversity, and one demographic group heavily dominates, then it has its drawbacks (at least for those who would like more diversity). This doesn't
need to mean that old single women are bad: Just that too many of them
entails perhaps too few of some other groups.

I wonder if any communities are doing anything to create more balance?
(I don't mean throwing anyone out who's already part of the community, but
recruiting more aggressively among desired demographic groups, or ...?
