HI Craig,
Just a thought.  Have you and your team considered having private testamonials 
available on the website's professional listings?  Not just the glowing ones 
either.  Something like the customer ratings on Amazon or Overstock.com?  

I suspect that most groups have experience with most of the professionals out 
there; it's a small pond.  For example, Tierra Nueva has experience with 
Wonderland as our developer, and Laird Shaub as a mediator.  I think that 
honest, thoughtful analysis of the perfomance of professionals would be a 
helpful aspect to the website.

I agree - that's why the Website Team converted the even shorter list (6
professionals, including 2 who no longer provide services) from the
now-retired website into the new Cohousing Professional Directory with 10
listings:

At this moment, it is still too hard to figure out how to get a listing -
we'll be changing that. Perhaps the best news around the Cohousing
Professional Directory's future is that it is no longer just me dealing with
its content and the professionals. For, this week, Coho/US hired Lisa Biskup
as our new Marketing Director:

Lisa, from RoseWind Cohousing, is joining another new member of our staff,
Catya Belfer-Shevett, from Mosaic Commons, our new Webmaster. Part of her
role will be actively reaching out to professionals to grow the directory.

Minutes ago, our team of four (including Donna Freiermuth, of Ventura
Cohousing) ended a team conference call addressing many known issues and
looking at the next phase of our work. As one of the three new members of
the team, I am grateful to be able to rely on the continued leadership of
Donna as our Website's Editor.

2008 is going be an interesting year as we make the Cohousing Website a more
valuable resource for the movement and industry... we're really just getting
going with this and look forward to the participation of many of you.
