Too me this has the advantage of small scale and fast set up, avoiding the long development process. Disadvantage is that with such a small population, losing one unit could be drastic for the project. I know of other retrofits and partial retrofits, but anyone know of any other small scale cohousing groups in existence?
Jared -We are 6 houses, 9 adults, 3 dogs and 2 kids. Don't know if that fits your definition of small.
One of our largest hurdles being that small is we all have big vision/hopes/dreams - but less people to work on that than in bigger groups. We're hoping to expand our retrofit community another 2-4 households in the coming years when the opportunities arise.
You can email me if you have any questions. thx scott
