Re: Has anyone had any dealings with Sustainable America?

I have heard of a documentary producer that has been contacting some
communities asking them to subsidize their video production with the
promise of broad cable distribution. I don't know if any communities
have jumped at it yet, or if it is a "good deal" for PR-hungry groups.
I'm also do not know whether this organization is connected to those
inquiries and cannot take the time now to learn more about them -
there are A LOT of thems.

Coho/US has not been contacted by Aware Pictures in recent history -
over the years, of course, most cohousing professionals,
organizations, researchers, press, community seekers, etc. who have
contacted multiple Cohousing Communities have done so independently
from Coho/US, rather than trying to "go through us."

A likely goal for Coho/US for the second half of this year is to
increase our alignment and exchange with other organizations that
share similar values, e.g. sustainability, intentional community. We
want to grow the Cohousing Movement by helping more like-minded folks
learn about Cohousing. This is also a way to help Cohousers, who are
interested, to more easily access what some of these organizations
offer. I will share more about our inter-organization vision of what
lies ahead in one of the plenary sessions at the 2008 Natl Coho Conf
in Boston next month.
